West Ham United defender Reece Oxford has reportedly been in Southampton watching his former club Borussia Monchengladbach, and many fans have taken to Twitter to slam the 19-year-old for his attitude.
As reported by club insider ExWHUemployee on Twitter, Oxford has been visiting his former teammates on the south coast as they romped to a 3-0 win over Southampton.
Ex further claimed that Monchengladbach were in the race to sign Oxford, with West Ham willing to offload him this summer.
Sorry Oxford is in Southampton “visiting” his old club Monchengladbach who played in a friendly there

We will only be selling/loaning our fringe players and hope to conclude some soon to balance the books a bit: these include Byram, Hugill and Oxford-the German clubs are back in for him apparently including where he was on loan last season

OPINION
These West Ham fans have obviously reached the end of their tether with Oxford, who has disappointed hugely in his development, or lack of it, since making such an impressive domestic debut against Arsenal in 2015/16. The versatile youngster has failed to kick on at all since that day, and despite still being rated very highly, it looks like fans would not be sad to see him leave the London Stadium this summer. Oxford has obviously had his head turned by the prospect of returning to Germany after a successful loan spell there, and such a move would be one that would seemingly be best for all involved ahead of the new season.
