50/50 I reckon… thatโs our percentage chance of winning and not my score forecast. That would be more likely to be 52/48

OPINION
These West Ham fans seem happy with the draw as they prepare to welcome League Two minnows Macclesfield to the London Stadium. This is obviously a good draw for the Hammers, and being at home should make negotiating the tie much easier, but let’s not forget this week’s performance against Wimbledon. Manuel Pellegrini’s men were sluggish against the Dons and if it weren’t for a controversial red card their task would have been much harder. They cannot afford the same complacency against the Silkmen, with the atmosphere at the London Stadium sure to turn sour should they end up falling behind. The Hammers need to put away the League Two side with ease to put to bed any worries about their form, and then they can think about passage into the later rounds of the competition. If they do go through, then this could indeed be a trophy within the club’s reach, with several all-Premier League ties set to take out some of the big names early on.ย
