The agent of talented West Ham youngster Domingos Quina has been “touting” him out to other clubs in the hope of finding him a new side this summer, according to a Club Insider.

ExWHUemployee, a Twitter account with very close links to West Ham, made the claim on his Twitter account on Friday morning.

A West Ham fan had asked what was going to happen with Quina this summer, and whether his contract was going to be renewed, and the reply came: “It depends on what the agent wants to do unfortunately”.

Quina has been in red-hot form this summer at the European Under-19s Championships and scored a worldie against Italy on Thursday.

That’s put him on the radar of Hoffenheim and Werder Bremen according to the Mirror.

OPINION

Quina switched across from the Chelsea youth system in 2016 and looked like an electric talent. Unfortunately he hasn’t pushed on and progressed as well as expected, but there’s a real feeling that a manager like Manuel Pellegrini could coax the most out of him. This news is worrying though. Quina has just one year left on his contract and with his agent agitating for a move, it looks like West Ham’s hands could be tied. The midfielder has made six senior appearances, but none in the Premier League, and it looks like he could be looking for a fresh start elsewhere. Pellegrini should do all he can to convince him that he does have a future at the club. However, there’s another school of thought that says if his mind is made up, West Ham should cash in now rather than lose him on a free. It would be incredibly frustrating though to see a player like Quina leave and go on and become a world talent elsewhere.
