West Ham’s young midfielder Sead Haksabanovic could be given a first-team place this season, according to trusted Twitter source ExWHUemployee.

The reliable Twitter account responded to a fan’s question about whether the 19-year-old will stay at the club or go out on loan this summer.

The source claims that the Montenegran playmaker could be set to take Manuel Lanzini’s place in the side, who has a long-term injury, after impressing Manuel Pellegrini during pre-season.

The creative midfielder joined the Hammers in July last year for £2.7million from Swedish side Halmstad and has made just two senior appearances for the London club.

This is a great sign for all West Ham fans ahead of next season. They’ve finally got a manager who will give their talented youngsters a chance in the first-team should they do enough to impress. Their latest prospect, 19-year-old Sead Haksabanovic, is a very talented midfielder with some great attributes and could become a real asset to the club for years to come. The Montenegran has already had a taste of senior football with his previous club in Sweden, scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists in 70 appearances in Swedish football. That is a great record for someone so young and you can see why the Hammers were happy to part with such a small fee to get him to The London Stadium 12 months ago. This year, West Ham fans could be seeing a lot more of Haksabanovic, with Manuel Lanzini’s injury, there is a real opportunity for the youngster to make an impression and seal a place in the senior squad.
