West Ham’s transfer activity has certainly taken flight this summer, and it does not look to be ending soon with yet another player on their radar.

French newspaper L’Equipe have reported that the Hammers have approached Celtic with an enquiry about enforcer Olivier Ntcham, a potential move which if completed, would be a masterstroke by boss Manuel Pellegrini.

The midfield kingpin is only 22-years-old, but has gone from strength to strength since his arrival from Manchester City in 2015, netting 10 goals in all competitions for the Hoops, including one against Rosenborg in the Champions League on Wednesday night, an impressive statistic from a central position.

It comes to no surprise that the Irons are eager to bring the Frenchman to the London Stadium as his form only looks to improve in future years, which is undoubtedly an exciting prospect for West Ham, who could do with a central midfielder like him.

His ability to score goals in his role as well as provide suitable cover to the back line is an asset which Pellegrini should be seeking to exploit as he looks to complete his revamp of the squad.

A move to the Premier League would only see his talent rocket, and his combination with recent signing Jack Wilshere in midfield is an eye-catching combination that could leave the West Ham faithful drooling.

Wilshere is not known for scoring goals, whereas Ntcham has more of a knack for it – meaning the Englishman could track back and provide cover to give the youngster the space to surge forward and provide an attacking threat.

In the French report, West Ham are said to have enquired about a transfer for the midfielder, and this is something that they need to capitalise on in order to boost their options in the middle of the park.

If Pellegrini managed to pull off this transfer, then it would be an exciting masterstroke by the Chilean.
