West Ham United are in need of some real quality in the forward areas, and Juventus’ Juan Cuadrado would provide that.

Manuel Pellegrini will want to make a real statement signing this summer, to bring in a quality player who can produce something out of nothing. That’s why they should swoop for Juventus winger Juan Cuadrado this summer, as it could be their only chance to get him.

As reported by the Daily Express, Cristiano Ronaldo could be making a transfer from Real Madrid to Juventus, with Juan Cuadrado having to give up his number 7 shirt in order to keep the Portuguese player happy in Turin if he does make the move.

This development could signal a chance for West Ham to launch a speculative bid and try and tempt the Colombian to The London Stadium. If Ronaldo does indeed join the Italian side, that will push the 30-year-old further down the pecking order.

The former Chelsea player, who signed for Juve for £18million in 2017, made 29 appearances for the Italian giants last season, scoring five goals and providing ten assists as he contributed to Juventus winning the Serie A title (TransferMarkt).

The winger is absolutely electric when he’s one-on-one with opposition defenders and causes major problems for opponents with his direct running and searing pace. He provides a lot of assists for his teammates as his pace allows him to beat his man on the outside and whip the ball in from the touchline.

He can also play in a number of different positions, he can play wide on either side, centrally, just behind the striker and also wing-back if needed, as he’s shown for his country in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Pellegrini should try and convince Cuadrado that he would be number one at West Ham, they should give him the wages he wants and pretty much anything else that may get him through the door.

If they can secure Cuadrado, that would make them genuine challengers for a European place next season, no matter who else they sign in this window.
