West Ham first teamer Declan Rice is earning less on his deal at the London Stadium than members of the youth academy, according to club insider ExWHUemployee.
The Hammers insider claimed via his personal Twitter account that Rice is earning less on his deal than at least three of the club’s youth academy players.
Well you can see, when there are at least 3 academy players who earn a lot more than @_DeclanRice why Declan may have been a tad offended at still being offered a lot less but hopefully this will be sorted out soon. He is already a very key player for us https://t.co/fYEhG8NFl6

It is understood that the club hope to sort out a new deal for the 19-year-old soon, but the defender may have been offended at being offered a lot less in their last contract offer.
OPINION
Despite all the good work that West Ham have done this summer, despite all their new exciting signings like Jack Wilshere, Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko, Ryan Fredericks and more, the fact that Declan Rice has not yet been given a new contract is the club’s biggest failure this summer. The 19-year-old is already a key figure at The London Stadium and is one of the best young defenders in the country, so the reluctance to give him a new contract that matches is ability is absolutely inexcusable. Manuel Pellegrini must have a word with the owners and the board of directors to get this sorted as soon as possible before the bigger clubs get wind of this hold-up, and then the Hammers will be able do nothing but sit back and watch their best young player leave for pastures new. This needs to be sorted, now, or West Ham will live to regret this.
