West Ham supporters on social media were less than impressed over a report which claimed that Michail Antonio was set to exit the club.

The Daily Mirror stated on Saturday that the 28-year-old winger was set to exit the Hammers as he had been told that he wasn’t a part of the club’s long-term plans.

The newspaper reported that the Hammers were due to listen to offers for Antonio with Crystal Palace keen to make a move and sign the versatile player.

The Hammers winger, who can feature on either flank as well operate as a right-back, made only 21 Premier League appearances for the club in the 2017/18 season with his campaign affected by injury problems.

Despite his issues, Hammers fans took to Twitter to slam the idea that he could be leaving the club anytime soon.

One supporter tweeted that they were gutted while another went as far to describe the reported decision as disgraceful as Antonio has always given his all to the club.

The 28-year-old may be poised to leave according to the Mirror’s report but the player’s current £70,000-a-week contract  (as per Spotrac) doesn’t expire until 2021.
