West Ham United midfielder Robert Snodgrass is one of Cardiff City’s top summer targets, according to Wales Online.

The Trinity Mirror site report that Neil Warnock wants a winger with Premier League experience as the Bluebirds prepare for their first season back in the top-flight.

Wales Online claim that Cardiff are set to move for Snodgrass within weeks, with the club preferring a loan deal for the 30-year-old Scotland international.

It is said however that the Hammers may yet want to keep Snodgrass, who is valued around £12million.

Snodgrass currently earns £60,000-a-week at West Ham, as reported by insider ExWHUemployee.

Good move for West Ham?

It depends.

Pellegrini may, as reported here, want to keep Snodgrass around after the Scot’s impressive season on loan with Aston Villa in which he scored eight goals and provided 13 assists in all competitions.

However, if he deems the 30-year-old as surplus to requirements, then a move to Cardiff would only make sense if the Bluebirds submit a bid to take him permanently, or on loan with obligation to buy.

A loan move makes little sense for either party, and that must surely be ruled out by the club.

Likely to happen?

It has been widely reported that Snodgrass will get a chance to impress as Pellegrini gives all his players a clean slate this summer, and that could end up seeing him stay at the London Stadium.

However, you would think that if a decent bid comes in for Snodgrass then the Hammers will play ball, and an exit may well be on the cards.

Whether that will be to Cardiff is hard to say though.
