West Ham fans took to Twitter to troll Everton after winning the race to sign Issa Diop from Toulouse.
The Hammers announced on their official website and social media accounts on Tuesday night they had made the defender their second summer signing following the capture of Ryan Fredericks earlier this month.

Diop has signed a five-year contract with the London club and widespread reports have stated that the fee paid will be a club-record Β£22million, although the Marko Arnautovic signing last summer could eventually eclipse it if the add-ons are all triggered.
Intriguingly, the Evening Standard report that West Ham saw off interest in Diop not only from Euro big hitters Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla, but also Premier League rivals Everton.
The Merseysiders have spent big on transfers in the last two years and it is a measure of the Hammers’ desire to seal the deal they have seen off such strong interest.
West Ham supporters have taken to social media to goad their Everton counterparts, with comments including “you must be wounded” in a series of exchanges on Twitter.

Hmm, join someone based in Liverpool, constantly in the shadow of the better club in the city, with no fans, or go to West Ham, based in the capital of England, with fans who can make noise. London Stadium or Goodison? Pellegrini or Silva? Hmmmm
