West Ham must solve their goalkeeping issues this summer by signing Timo Horn to be their player between the sticks.

The Hammers suffered major problems in the 2017/18 season due to their lack of a consistently good keeper, Joe Hart and Adrian weren’t good enough, which contributed to them conceding 68 goals in their 38 league games.

However the club’s problems in goal would be no more if they successfully persuaded Timo Horn to move to the London Stadium this summer.

The 6ft 2in tall (Transfermarkt) keeper would be a safe pair of hands in the Premier League, despite never featuring in England’s top-flight before, as he has more than proven himself at Cologne.

Horn rose through the youth ranks of the Bundesliga club to established himself as their top choice keeper, and since doing this, has made 205 appearances for the club.

The giant shot-stopper has impressively kept 67 clean sheets in his appearances and showcased his ability to keep powerful efforts blasted at him from long-range out of his goal on a consistent basis.

Aside from his impressive stats and clear ability, Manuel Pellegrini could sign the goalkeeper for just £5.4million, reported by The Sun in January, due to a relegation clause being in the player’s contract.

Horn’s club Cologne had their relegation confirmed in April, as stated by Sky Sports, meaning the shot-stopper could be an absolute steal if the Hammers opted to swoop this summer.

While the 25-year-old may have publicly committed himself to staying where he is, seen in an interview on Bundesliga’s official site, his mind could easily be changed if the Hammers made an enticing enough offer.

Therefore the Hammers must solve their major goalkeeping issue by signing the 6ft 2in tall giant as at the very least given him his reported bargain price, he is worth trying for.
