West Ham will rake in serious cash with Manuel Pellegrini in charge of the club as not only will they attract top quality players, they will be able to sell these superstars once their done with them.

The Hammers are investing £10million-a-year, according to the Independent, into Pellegrini by having him as their manager and while he will spark exciting times on the pitch, his effect on business will also be fantastic.

Former Hammers forward Carlton Cole’s comments to Sky Sports News, as uploaded to the broadcaster’s website, prove without shadow of a doubt that Pellegrini’s presence at the London Stadium will be a potential moneyspinner for the club.

“It’s exciting times, we’ve got a world-class manager, I think we’ve got one of the best managers in the country now” said Cole when asked by his former club’s new boss.

“So we know what his credentials are, we know what he can bring to the table, he’s obviously got the full support of the board and the backing to help him get to the next level for West Ham.”

Cole continued singing the praises of Pellegrini’s appointment before being asked whether the Premier League manager’s presence could attract top talent to the London Stadium.

“Yeah defiantly he’s going to be attracting a few players of what he wants to fit into the team he’s got now, he may let a few go, he may bring a few in but I know his money is going to be spent wisely,” replied Cole.

The former Hammers forward is spot on with his assessment as Pellegrini will get value for his money from his outlay in the transfer market due to his countless connections, he’s worked at a lot of high profile teams, as he will recruit top quality players at reasonable prices to the club.

The experienced boss also knows countless leagues well and will know of at least a few hidden gems to poach from other sides, that will see their value soar under him.

These remarks by Cole, who knows first hand what a player looks at when joining a club, prove that Pellegrini is set to rake in some serious cash for the club over the next few seasons.

While the Hammers won’t see bundles of cash shipped into the club during his first campaign, once the experienced manager gets comfortable, top quality talent coming in and out of the club will be a regular sight.

It’s easy to imagine that with his allure, Pellegrini will be able to make profits on the players he signs when he decides it time for them to move to pastures new as his presence will make deals cheaper and easier to get done.

It’s not impossible to believe that players will sign slightly less lucrative contracts to join the Hammers so that can play with the prestigious boss, rather than get more at another club, and these savings will all add up and turn into huge profits.

Therefore while spending £10million-a-year on a manager seems pricey, it’s actually an investment that will eventually rake in the money at the Hammers and Cole’s remarks prove that Pellegrini will have that effect.
