West Ham United secured a 0-0 draw with Manchester United in a drab affair at the London Stadium on Thursday evening, and fans have taken to Twitter to slam the display of Manuel Lanzini.

The Hammers have little to play for other than league position after securing their Premier League safety with a 2-0 win over Leicester last time out, but put in a decent display to hold the Red Devils, who secured second place with the result.

The visitors had the best chances of the match but found Irons stopper Adrian in inspired form, a first-half double save being a highlight of the match.

The Spaniard did very well to parry from an Alexis Sanchez effort following some nice play from Antonio Valencia, and then pulled off another great save to deny Luke Shaw from the follow-up, deflecting his shot onto the post.

Other than forcing David de Gea into a couple of routine saves the Hammers were unable to really test the United defence, although tempers did flare towards the end between Mark Noble and Paul Pogba, with a fracas ensuing.

Fans have now taken to Twitter to slam the ineffectual performance of attacking midfielder Lanzini, who was uncharacteristically quiet.
