West Ham United are in the hunt to sign Stoke City midfielder Badou N’Diaye as a replacement for Cheikhou Kouyate, according to Galsen Foot.

The Senegalese outlet report that the Hammers are one of three teams keeping tabs on the 27-year-old enforcer, who only joined Stoke in January from Galatasaray.

Galsen Foot claim that West Ham are looking at N’Diaye as a potential replacement for mainstay Kouyate, who is said to be leaving the London Stadium this summer.

N’Diaye cost Stoke £14million in January, with the Senegal international making 13 appearances for the Potters and scoring two goals before their relegation to the Championship.

Good move for West Ham?

100%.

N’Diaye only had a short time to shine in the Premier League, but the 27-year-old looked a real find at the Bet365 Stadium.

The Senegal international added some steel to Stoke’s midfield, and looks like he could be a real asset for whoever snaps him up this summer.

West Ham could do with some reinforcements in central midfield, especially if Kouyate leaves as claimed here, and N’Diaye would be a brilliant option.

Likely to happen?

It looks likely that N’Diaye will leave Stoke this summer after failing to help the club prevent relegation to the Championship.

You would think that the Senegal international would have negotiated a clause into his contract in the event of relegation, although that is not known at this point.

It is claimed that Arsenal and Beskitas are also in for him, which would mean the Hammers have their work cut out, but they are certainly putting themselves in a good position to strike.
