Crystal Palace are eyeing up a summer swoop for West Ham attacker Michail Antonio, according to The Sun.

The newspaper report that Roy Hodgson has made the 28-year-old speed machine a prime transfer target for the Eagles this summer, and sees the winger as the missing piece in his attacking puzzle.

The Sun claim that Antonio may jump at the chance to join Palace after their impressive run of form under Hodgson that has seen them climb to 11th in the Premier League table.

It is said that Antonio’s future at the London Stadium is uncertain under David Moyes, despite the versatile ace signing a new four-year deal last season.

Good move for West Ham?

Absolutely not.

Antonio has been a brilliant servant of the club since joining from Nottingham Forest in 2015, and despite his injury problems this season he is a key part of the Hammers squad.

His pace on the wings is a massive asset and his versatility, which has seen him play in defence and attack as well, is so underrated.

The 28-year-old is entering the prime of his career, and it would be criminal for the Irons to let him go this summer, especially to a Premier League rival like Palace.

Forever West Ham rating: 2/10

Likely to happen?

The report states that Antonio may jump at the chance to join the Eagles this summer, but that is pure conjecture based on the fact that Hodgson’s side have had an impressive season.

In truth this would be a sideways move for Antonio, who would be much better off staying at the London Stadium.

However, it is also said that Antonio’s future under Moyes is not certain, and that could lead him to leave the club this summer if that is the truth.
