West Ham fans have delivered mixed verdicts on Twitter after an Insider claimed they are set to name Argentine recruitment expert Mario Husillos as their new director of football.
Ex-WHU Employee, a Twitter account which is an extremely reliable source of news about the club, claimed on Monday morning that the new Hammers manager Manuel Pellegrini is set to be reunited with Husillos after they worked together in Spain.

This comes after Husillos left relegated Malaga earlier this month following just seven months in a second spell at the club in which he failed to stop their descent into the Spanish second tier.
Husillos brought in eight new players who all failed to turned around the team’s wretched season and they were relegated with eight matches remaining.
That has appeared to have not stopped West Ham from moving for someone who is a long-time ally of Pellegrini and helped Malaga punch above their weight for three years before he joined Manchester City in 2013.
Hammers supporters have taken to social media to question and ascertain the credentials of Husillos, who is set to take on the role that has been vacant since Tony Henry was sacked earlier this year.

Thanks for the reply Ex! I’m guessing we haven’t really got a shortlist yet if we’re appointing a DOF? Will any deals be on hold until he agrees them?

Does this mean Sullivan will have no say in transfers? If so can we trust him to back away completely and give full control?

I don’t know if it’s just me but I feel the club seems somehow more professional of late.

Prefer Macia but this would imply Pellegrini having more control over transfers which I like

Is the deal we have agreed in principle for a free transfer?

Is he any good though? Or, just a friend of Ruben? Has he got a good track record? Argentine players will have a problem with Visas right? Is this a good move?
