West Ham have plenty of work to do in the summer transfer market to push away from what has been a disappointing campaign, leaving the Hammers fighting to avoid relegation rather than pushing for European football.
One player linked with a move to the London Stadium this summer is Galatasaray’s Garry Rodrigues and the east London side have received a surprise boost in their quest to land the Cape Verde international.
Turkish outlet Sporx claim the president of Rodrigues’ former club, PAOK, is pressuring the winger’s agent towards completing a deal as the Greek side want to receive a cash windfall, after negotiating a clause that will give them 20% of any sale.
West Ham were recently stated to have seen a €12m bid for the 27-year-old rejected by Galatsaray, who are holding out for a fee closer to the €18m mark, and it remains to be seen whether the Hammers will return with an improved bid.
