West Ham know they have a fierce fight on their hands in the coming months, although it seems the Hammers’ battle will not just be orientated around their attempts to secure safety from relegation and could extend into the summer transfer market.

The east London side are desperate to improve their ranks across the board for next season and are eyeing more consistency in front of goal, with no side in the squad hitting double figures in the Premier League so far this season.

There is certainly room for significant additions in the final third and the Hammers will be encouraged by reports from The Mirror which state that 22-goal Porto ace Moussa Marega is keen on a move to England this summer.

However, another underperforming Premier League side in the form of Everton are also chasing the experienced 26-year-old, who Porto will demand an audacious £35m figure for.

Such a price would surpass the club-record fee that West Ham paid Stoke City for Marko Arnautovic’s services last summer and the battle for his services could spark a bidding war.
