West Ham have pushed to within touching distance of Premier League safety after a fine run of form since the international break, sitting seven points above the drop, and it’s allowed the Hammers to prepare for changes in the summer.

The east London side have attracted widespread criticism in recent seasons with poor recruitment, shown once again this year by speculation that recent signings Javier Hernandez, Jordan Hugill and Patrice Evra could all leave London Stadium after just a short stint in the capital.

West Ham are eyeing changes though and Sky Sports reports the club have brought in experts to help land the ideal new head of recruitment, believing they have wasted too much money in the past and have relief to heavily on the influence of agents.

A new global scouting system, costing between £2-4m, is set to be established at the London Stadium but the club believe they’ll recoup that fee swiftly with the improvements that they make, although the latest reports suggest the club have moved away from plans to appoint a director of football.

Instead, Moyes is set to work alongside a head of recruitment and it will reduce the impact that co-chairman David Gold and David Sullivan have over the club’s business.
