West Ham are on the verge of securing their Premier League status for another season and the Hammers could take advantage of their position by heaping further misery on one of their doomed rivals.

After snatched Marko Arnautovic from Stoke City last season, reports cited by Read West Ham state that the Hammers could raid the Potters once again this summer once relegation for the Staffordshire strugglers has been confirmed.

Stoke edged further towards the drop after throwing away a lead against Burnley on Sunday to draw 1-1, leaving Paul Lambert’s side four points from safety- with Southampton, Swansea, Huddersfield and West Ham ahead of them all having a game in hand.

If the Potters, as expected, are relegated, then West Ham will launch a £40m quest to secure both Jack Butland and Joe Allen from the club, in what would be a significant double-deal for the Hammers.

Wales international Allen has long been linked with a move to the London Stadium, and was a target for Moyes in January, while Butland will have no shortage of suitors this summer.
