West Ham are set for a major restructure in their recruitment process this summer, as the Hammers look to appoint a director of football to oversee their activity in the transfer market.

This follows what has been a disappointing few years for West Ham on the market, where a number of flops have been signed, and comes after disgraced former head of recruitment Tony Henry was axed last month.

West Ham are now looking for the right candidate and Claret & Hugh report that former Arsenal director Dick Law is being considered, who is poised to end his long-term association with the Gunners at the end of the season.

Arsenal drafted in Raul Sanllehi from Barcelona earlier this year and Law, who has strong links in North and South America, has remained with the Gunners on a consultant basis- but that’s likely to come to an end.

Law is considered to be one of the leading candidates to take the new role at West Ham and the fact he can speak both Spanish and Portuguese is an asset for the Hammers.
