West Ham face the biggest game of recent years this weekend when they host Southampton at the London Stadium, where they currently sit just a point and a place above their opponents and the relegation zone.

David Moyes’ side are looking to bounce back after three consecutive defeats prior to the international break and the Scottish boss has received a double boost ahead of the game, with two players returning to availability.

Moyes confirmed to the club’s official website that Arthur Masuaku is available after serving a six-match suspension for spitting, whilst Edimilson Fernandes is also fit and was selected for the Switzerland squad for the current international break.

“We hope (to have a stronger squad for the Southampton clash). We’ve not necessarily got loads of players back but we’ve got Arthur (Masuaku) back from a long-term suspension and Edi Fernandes has been taken away by Switzerland to play, I hope, because he would have got a bit of time against Dagenham but we’re not getting a chance to see him (in person).”

“Hopefully those two will add to the squad in the coming weeks but, other than that, I think most people are aware we’ve got some long-term injuries.”

Masuaku hasn’t featured since being sent off in the 2-0 FA Cup defeat to Wigan at the end of January, whilst Fernandes’ last appearance came in a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City at the start of December.
