West Ham have struggled for consistency in the final third this season and will look to improve their attacking options this summer, once the club’s Premier League status is secured.

The Hammers sit just a single point above the relegation zone heading into the final eight matches of the campaign but are already eyeing potential recruits for the close-season, including top-class attacking reinforcements.

West Ham have long been attributed with an interest in Porto’s Moussa Marega but The Daily Star cites reports that indicate the Hammers face a stern battle in the chase to land the exciting 21-goal forward.

Swansea City and Everton are said to be firmly in the hunt for the 26-year-old Malian, who would command a heft price in the market as Porto are known to be shrewd negotiators.

Marega is eyed by West Ham as part of an immense spending spree to rejuvenate the club’s fortunes, after two less than impressive campaigns at the London Stadium.
