David Moyes may be preparing for the long-term at West Ham by assessing potential pre-season camps for the summer but the Scottish boss may be getting ahead of himself.

The former Sunderland and Manchester United man has struggled to retain form throughout the campaign since replacing Slaven Bilic last year and has seen a run of three consecutive defeats suck the Hammers back into the relegation fight, where they sit just a single point above the drop-zone.

As such, Spanish outlet Marca state the West Ham board are ready to approach former Hull City and Watford boss Marco Silva as they seek to replace Moyes this summer- although any chances of a deal occurring hinge on whether the Hammers remain in the Premier League.

Silva has become one of the continent’s most highly-rated young managers after catching the eye in the Premier League, although his stellar start to the season with Watford was swiftly undone following an untimely approach from Everton.

The Toffees could well revive that interest this summer, replacing Sam Allardyce, and assurances would have to be made to the 40-year-old to tempt him into a move to the London Stadium.
