West Ham’s transfer window may have come to a close at the end of January but that hasn’t stopped David Moyes from making moves on the market.

The Scottish boss swooped last week to bring former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra back to the Premier League, with the French international available on a free transfer after having his contract at Marseille cancelled, and West Ham are looking to benefit from a similar situation.

Reports fromĀ Soka25eastĀ claim West Ham are closing in on the services of former Augsburg full-back Daniel Opare, who ripped-up his contract with the Bundesliga side last week after falling out with the German outfit.

The Ghanian’s contract was due to expire at the end of the season, and he was keen to move in January, but Augsburg blocked a departure- which has since led to a complete breakdown in relationships between the two parties.

Sam Allardyce’s Everton are also said to be keen on the 27-year-old but West Ham are ranked as the favourites for his signature.
