The Manchester City prodigy has excelled north of the border with Brendan Rodgers’ record-breaking Celtic side and it seems unlikely that 21-year-old Patrick Roberts will be able to establish himself with the Premier League leaders.
Reports claim City will be prepared to part ways for a fee of around £15m and West Ham should certainly make a move, handing Roberts the chance to be a star in England’s top-flight and potentially boosting the player’s standing in the Three Lions’ pecking order.
Roberts already boasts a wealth of experience, including from the Champions League, and the injection of talent he’d provide to West Ham’s attack is significant.
