West Ham remain active in the January transfer window and a busy week awaits for David Moyes’ side.

The Hammers are looking to rejuvenate their squad and push away from an extremely tight relegation battle, where just six points separate bottom from tenth- with West Ham currently sat 11th in the table.

A number of targets are being considered by Moyes but one reported target has played down the chances of moving this month, as Middlesbrough’s Adama Traore has stated his desire is to remain on Teesside and to help the side return to the Premier League.

Quoted by The Sun, the 21-year-old winger said:

“I want to be back in the Premier League and be the best player that I can be. I work hard on this every day. The manager has worked and spoken with me every day on the defensive shape and all the team together to be stronger.”

“So I want to say thank you to the gaffer because he is helping me with my defensive way. I know what he wants from me and he tells me every day about the defensive shape and he knows my attacking ability and I can do it.”

West Ham have been considering options out wide as they seek to improve their squad but it appears they’ll have to look elsewhere.
