West Ham are set for a busy month in the weeks ahead as they look to significantly bolster their side in the January transfer window, with the aim of pushing away from the Premier League’s relegation zone.

David Moyes has made it clear he’s looking to improve his options in the middle of the field with a move for an experienced midfielder and a number of names have been muted since the turn of the year, though there is no clear progress as of yet.

However, that could soon change as The Mirror claims Bournemouth will sanction the departure of midfielder Harry Arter this month if the Hammers match their £15m valuation.

West Ham are said to be reluctant to match the asking price for the 28-year-old but need to be wary of missing out, with Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson also looking to complete a deal for the long-serving Cherries ace.

With outgoing deals likely to go ahead in the weeks that follow, West Ham will certainly have the funds to complete this transfer but they may need to move quickly in the market to avoid missing out.
