West Ham face a stern test this month as the Hammers seek to bolster their position in the Premier League and to fight away from the relegation zone.

The East London side have enjoyed an upturn in form since appointing David Moyes, rising out of the relegation zone following a crucial victory against fellow strugglers West Brom last night- coming from behind to win 2-1.

Those battles are now likely to transfer onto the transfer stage as Moyes looks to bolster his defence for the remainder of the season but one fight is likely to be more fierce than was initially understood, with another side joining the hunt for a highly-rated signature.

The Daily Mail, stating in their live transfer tracker yesterday (16:04), claims that Championship leaders Wolves are the latest side to join the hunt for Augsburg defender Daniel Opare- who is reportedly being chased by West Ham and Leicester City.

27-year-old Opare is available to buy this month as his current deal is due to expire at the end of the season, with The Mail adding that a figure of just £3m will be enough to secure a deal.
