David Moyes is preparing for a busy back end to the January transfer window, as he prepares to bolster his side and push away from the relegation battle.

The Hammers have struggled for consistency this season, although have benefitted from vast improvements since the Scottish boss took charge at the London Stadium, and are looking to improve their squad with additions in January.

With plenty of speculation suggesting a major striking overhaul in East London, which could see the likes of Andre Ayew, Diafra Sakho and Andy Carroll moved on, a new striker is top of Moyes’ wish-list and he was in attendance to watch one particular player this week.

The Daily Mail states Moyes was at Stamford Bridge for last night’s FA Cup third round tie between Chelsea and Norwich City, keeping tabs on Michy Batshuayi- who scored the game’s opening goal.

Batshuayi, who is seeking regular first-team action ahead of the World Cup, has failed to thrust himself into the starting line-up at Chelsea and is widely reported to be heading away from West London this month.

Sevilla are named amongst those interested in his services but West Ham may hold an advantage in the form of Andy Carroll, who Chelsea are keen to sign.
