West Ham are set for a crucial period in the weeks ahead, as the Hammers look to bolster their squad in their battle for Premier League survival.

A lot of talk during the January transfer window will orientate around potential signings for David Moyes’ side but outgoing deals are also set to be crucial, as the Hammers look to balance their books and potentially raise funds for incoming deals.

Another angle for West Ham in January is the development of their younger talents and one player in particular is attracting a lot of interest heading into this month, with The Daily Mirror stating that six Championship sides are chasing Reece Burke.

Burke has impressed on-loan with Bolton Wanderers during the first-half of this season and his performances have raised interest in his services, with Sunderland, Barnsley, Derby County, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United all keen on a deal.

The 21-year-old has returned to West Ham following the end of his deal with Bolton and manager David Moyes will now make an assessment on the player, deciding whether another loan deal should go ahead of whether Burke has a part to play in the first-team.
