West Ham United are looking to bolster their attacking lines in the January transfer window and reports suggest they’re keen to hand a fresh chance to a Premier League striker who has struggled recently.

The SunĀ believe that David Moyes is looking to eye a move for Liverpool forward Danny Ings, a player he tried to sign during his short stint with Real Sociedad before the Reds landed the England striker on a free from Burnley.

Ings has struggled to make an impression at Anfield due to consistent injury problems and, having now recovered, faces a battle against the likes of Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Dominic Solanke for first-team opportunities.

West Ham are ready to allow Andre Ayew to leave in the New Year but are rebuffing advances in Diafra Sakho until they land a replacement, with Moyes not keen on limiting the attacking options he has at the club.

With Javier Hernandez and Andy Carroll both having suffering injury problems recently, Moyes knows all too well that he cannot shred the squad without having adequate back-up.
