West Ham are seeking to bolster their attacking lines during the January transfer window but they may face difficulties securing the services of one man.

The Daily MailĀ states that Liverpool will block an exit for England international Daniel Sturridge in the New Year, despite the striker’s urge for first-team football as he seeks regular football ahead of the World Cup next summer.

West Ham are amongst the sides attributed in interest with the former Manchester City and Chelsea striker, who has found himself battling with Roberto Firmino and Dominic Solanke for first-team football at Anfield this season.

Jurgen Klopp sees him as crucial for the club’s first-team, especially as the German boss is ready to allow Danny Ings to leave on-loan in the New Year, as he steps-up his recovery from a long-term injury battle.

West Ham are indeed attributed with interest with Ings himself and could step-up their interest in January, though they face competition with the likes of Stoke City and Newcastle United.
