West Ham have turned their fortunes around in recent weeks, securing seven points from the last nine available to lift themselves out of the Premier League’s relegation zone.

The Hammers have improved vastly under David Moyes, boasting three consecutive clean sheets, but the Scottish boss is aware that the challenges ahead of him are far from over- with the East London side facing crucial matches over the Christmas period.

Back-to-back matches against fellow strugglers Newcastle United and Bournemouth in the days around Christmas and the Hammers could look to take one of those battles into the January window, as they seek to sign a midfielder from the Cherries.

The Sun states West Ham are plotting a £15m swoop in January for Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter, with the Hammers preferring to secure domestic talent to bolster their underperforming side.

Republic of Ireland international Arter would provide an injection of experience to the Hammers side and a move for the 27-year-old is certainly achievable, with the midfielder having found himself out of the starting line-up in recent weeks.
