West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan has revealed the Hammers will sign ‘two or three’ new players in January in an attempt to save the club from relegation.

Despite their recent good form, David Moyes’ side still sit only one point off the bottom of the Premier League table after an awful start to the new campaign – a start that saw former manager Slaven Bilic sacked last month.

After investing heavily in the summer, it appears the Hammers will now turn to the transfer market again in order to solve their problems.

‘The manager always has the final say over transfers and David is still weighing up the areas we are short in,” said Sullivan, “but you can be rest assured that two or three new players will be brought in to improve the team.”

A number of players have been linked with moves to East London this January, including Celtic’s Moussa Dembele and Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere.
