West Ham United remain winless under the guidance of new boss David Moyes and the pressure on the squad has increased significantly following a 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Everton.

The Hammers missed the chance to move out of the relegation zone in that game and now face an incredibly difficult run of fixtures ahead of them, starting with this weekend’s trip to face Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s side have proved to be unstoppable so far this season, though required late goals to win in their last two matches against Huddersfield Town and Swansea City, but one pundit is expecting a much easier time this weekend.

Former Arsenal defender Paul Merson toldĀ Sky SportsĀ he expects a comfortable win for Manchester City this weekend, predicting a 4-0 score-line.

“West Ham were atrocious at Everton apart from a 20-minute spell after half-time. I dread to think what’s going to happen here against a team with such a ruthless mentality like City. They could have a field day. I’m going for 4-0.”

With clashes against Chelsea and Arsenal to follow this weekend’s trip to Manchester, the situation looks incredibly bleak for the Hammers.
