When David Moyes was appointed the new manager for West Ham there was a sense of dread amongst Hammer fans. It is no surprise why as his track record of late has been dreadful and has not recovered since his doomed appointment as the chosen one to replace Sir Alex Ferguson. He has since jumped from club to club after awful spells in charge and many thought that he would not get an appointment at one of the top clubs in the EPL again.

If I was going to put a free sports bet on anything it would have been that Moyes would be gone come the summer transfer window but after a surprisingly great start, I am gradually changing my mind. Granted it is very early yet to make a decision but in the short space of time he has been boss the Hammers have started to look like they can defend once again. The display against Arsenal was down to vast improvements made in defense and that accolade has to go to the manager.

Since Moyes has taken over the job their Premier League odds for survival have been greatly boosted and they are now priced at 1/14. Swansea are the bookies favorites to go down at 10/3, followed by West Brom 10/11 and then Stoke at 4/7.Find the best free sports bets and bonuses offers plus promotions that will help you make the best risk-free betting selections around from freebets.com including free betting tips, preview and predictions.

Moyes is giving it his all on the touchline and barking orders left right and center which seems to be working at present. It is nice to see a manager so passionate and it most helps drive the players on to give their all. West Ham was great at the back against the formidable attacking talent that the Gunner has on display and they may have even grabbed all three points had Hernandez hit the back of the net rather than the crossbar.

Moyes had a difficult start to his managerial term at the Hammers but the team has performed well under the Scotsman. They were unlucky against record breakers Manchester City who look like they are going to win the title at a canter this season. After taking the lead they were unable to hold on and were beaten 2-1. Since then the defense has improved which showed against Chelsea where they were able to keep a clean sheet and snatch a goal to beat last season’s EPL holders.

The confidence of the team will be high after a good run of results in games that they could have easily lost against the bigger teams. Now that they have survived that run of matches they face Stoke, Newcastle, Bournemouth and West Brom which are all matches that if they keep their current form should beat. If they can go on a run of wins over this period that will be West Ham safe and the problems will be long forgotten about.

There is still a huge job to be done in order for safest to be secured this season as the Hammers sit second from bottom in 19th place. They are however only three points away from 13th place Brighton and with the run of matches they have just a couple of wins on the bounce should propel them up the table. The relegation battle this campaign is going to be a close one with so few points separating the teams so at least we will get some entertainment as the title has already been won by Manchester City.
