West Ham United target Fyodor Smolov has ended speculation that he is set to move to the London Stadium in the New Year by saying the East London club ‘isn’t for him’, much to the dismay of the Claret and Blue army.
Smolov, who is the captain of his national team, Russia, has been heavily linked with a move away from current side FC Krasnodar after a terrific start to the season, and The Hammers were one of a number of interested parties, with Real Madrid also thought to be keeping an eye on the Russian striker.
Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke 04 are also said to be interested in the forward.
Smolov however has now said he has no intention of joining the Hammers, saying: “That’s true: West Ham bidded me once, and, after having been turned down, they even increased the sum.
“But they are avoiding relegation, and, watching them against Manchester City, I didn’t enjoy how defensive they were. Sorry, I don’t like their style”.
The Hammers fans aren’t happy, and have hit back at the Russian after his comments on the club …
That's hilarious considering we actually can't defend

A bit of a silly mong declining a high five figure sum salary per week rather than being remunerated in meat and potatoes like he is at the moment.

Admittedly, WHU are awful but dunno if he should be denouncing their defensive play style away to Man City. But whatever.
