West Ham captain Mark Noble says he enjoyed every moment of this weekend’s victory over Chelsea and says he ‘loves’ winning against London rivals.

The Hammers came out surprise 1-0 victors over Antonio Conte’s side on Saturday, with a solitary goal from Marko Arnautovic proving to be the difference between the two sides.

While it was certainly a shock three points for the home side, in was most definitely well-earned, and Noble was impressed with his teams performance.

Noble explained on whufc.com: “When you play against these players and you play against teams like this that have so much money and can buy the best players in the world, you can’t just open up and match them up.

“You’ve got to realise that and you have to find a way to beat them. We found that way by defending, by counter-attacking and I don’t care if we defended for 90 minutes. We won the game.”

David Moyes’ side face another difficult test mid-week against Arsenal, but Noble hopes he can come out on top again in West Ham’s second London derby in a week.

“I do like winning local derbies! Chelsea, Spurs, and we’ve got another one on Wednesday night [against Arsenal].”
