West Ham fans are not that optimistic that the board and David Moyes will make the right decisions in the January transfer window.
The club have had three poor transfer windows in a row which have failed to bring in players with the desire, energy and ability to play for West Ham. Many supporters blame the board for a taking control away from Slaven Bilic with regards to transfer targets, and don’t believe much will change now Moyes is in charge.
Some fans are also not convinced that the former Sunderland and Manchester United boss has a good enough track record with his signings at his previous teams.
The combination of a board holding tight to its purse strings, and a manager who does not have a long term contract, indicates that the club will not make the moves necessary in January to arrest the downward spiral at the club.
Moyes will certainly have to assess what he has in the squad before he makes any decisions about signings, but Hammers fans are uncertain whether he has the clout with his six month contract to force the board into spending more money:
Well lets be honest anyone who comes in January if at all won’t be Moyes signings

A bit rough when the owners do the signings can’t see moyes doing anything different

Moyes will find major difference between WHU and Sunderland is the draw of London to potential signings. If he gets backing. Big IF

Had a feeling at the start of the season that West Ham would be relegated. Poor signings by a clueless board — Bilic was the fall guy and Moyes definitely isn’t the man to turn it around.

I can just imagine the sort of top class signings that will be chomping at the bit to play under David Moyes in January, good times ahead!!
