West Ham are keen on bringing former Watford striker Odion Ighalo back to the Premier League, less than 12 months after he left England for China.

Ighalo burst onto the scene in England with the Hornets after his 2014 move from Udinese, first scoring 20 goals to help Watford gain promotion back to the Premier League, before stunning the Premier League in his debut top flight season.

The Nigerian hit 17 goals in all competitions and formed a formidable partnership with Troy Deeney to help Watford to a 13th placed finish.

After struggling the next season however, find the net just twice before Christmas, Ighalo moved to Chinese side Changchun Yatai where he has since re-found his goalscoring touch, scoring 15 times in 27 games.

Italian media outlet Tutto Udinese report that West Ham are now sniffing around the Super Eagles star, and could make a surprise attempt to lure him back to England.

The Hammers have had a difficult start to the season and will be looking to add firepower to blast them out of the league’s relegation spots after the New Year.

Everton are too said to be interested after too having a poor start to the campaign.
