West Ham’s new boss David Moyes is gearing up for the commencement of his challenge at the London Stadium this weekend, in his first game in charge against Watford.

The Hammers slipped into the relegation zone prior to the international break, which ultimately cost Slaven Bilic his job, and West Ham have plenty of work to do- with Moyes eyeing improvements in January.

West Ham have struggled to find consistency in their attack this season, despite signing Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen, and it’s widely reported that the Hammers will bring in a new forward in January.

The SunĀ claims one player being pursued by Moyes is Liverpool’s out-of-favour English striker Danny Ings, who has struggled with injury problems since joining Liverpool from Burnley.

Ings impressed in Lancashire, scoring 43 goals for Burnley, but has netted just three times and earned just 12 appearances since joining Liverpool in 2015- having suffered two major knee injuries in two years.

The striker, now 25, may need a loan move to get his career back-on-track and Moyes looks set to provide that opportunity in East London, though fans may be concerned about his injury record.
