Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho is looking to leave the Portuguese side according to Record (via TalkSport).
The Portuguese newspaper reports that the 25 year old is looking for a new challenge. Last month, it was reported that Sporting were looking to offer the midfielder a new deal with a higher buyout clause. It seems however that the Portuguese international is not willing to sign a new contract.
Whether this will be of interest to West Ham, it is not known. The Hammers fell out with Sporting over a deal for Carvalho in the summer, with the Portuguese club accusing West Ham of failing to make an official bid for the player.
The dispute will likely make any return offer in the January transfer window for the midfielder difficult for the Hammers. Carvalho has been in good form for Sporting so far this season, having already made two assists in his first ten appearances.
