West Ham handed injury blow as winger is set for months out

|

West Ham fans hoping to see some of the club’s finest young talents earning a rise into the first-team may well be disappointed, after one player who many felt was on the verge of a breakthrough has suffered a major injury set-back.

19-year-old Nathan Holland is set for a few months on the sidelines, according to Football.London, after undergoing surgery on a hamstring tear, which brings his stellar start to the season to a quick halt.

Holland has scored three goals and provided one assist for the U23 side this season, whilst he also earned his senior debut in the Carabao Cup victory against Bolton Wanderers- leading many to believe he’s on the verge of a rise to the first-team.

However, the untimely injury will put Holland in a difficult position as he’ll also be unable to prove himself to new manager David Moyes until he makes a full recovery.
