New Hammers boss David Moyes has had the start to his life at West Ham made ever-more difficult after being dealt a quadruple injury blow for his first fixture in charge.

Moyes’ side travel to Vicarage Road to take on an in-form Watford side on Sunday and the Scot is set to be without a number of his key players for his Hammers debut.

Javier Hernandez, the club’s top scorer in the top flight this season, will miss out after sustaining a injury on international duty with Mexico, as will Michail Antonio was has a recurring injury to his ribs and is yet to train under his new manager.

Club vice Captain Winston Reid is also likely to have to watch the action from the sidelines, with the New Zealand international set to return from his home country as late as Saturday following their World Cup qualifier against Peru.

To add insult to injury, centre half pairing Jose Fonte and James Collins also remain injured.
