West Ham United are now the odds on favourite to land out-of-favour Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge this January, according to bookmakers, and Hammers fans are seemingly pleased with the news.
A number of Premier League clubs have been heavily linked with a move for the struggling striker including Newcastle United and Everton, however it is now the Hammers who reportedly lead the chase for the former Chelsea and Manchester City man.
According to bookmakers Betfair, the Premier League strugglers are 11/4 favourites to sign the 28-year-old after the New Year.
The Red’s star has struggled for regular football over the past season and a half an Anfield, starting only 4 games in all competitions this season for Jurgen Klopp’s side, and is rumoured to want away from the Merseyside club in an attempt to revitalise his career.
Sturridge also helps a move away and regular football will boost his chances of inclusion in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the World Cup in Russia next summer.
The Claret and Blue army seem to be pleased at the thought of the ex-Manchester City and Chelsea star gracing the London Stadium, and would welcome his arrival to East London …
They may be ‘rejects’ of their club but I would have Sturridge and Wilshere at West Ham tomorrow

@WestHam_Central I'm just wondering why the hammers haven't tried signing wilshire and Sturridge

Behind Fermino, Mane and Sturridge his game time at Liverpool is bound to be limited and maybe following in the same footsteps as former team mate Tammy Abraham wouldn't be a bad idea.
With that in mind, would you take him on loan at West Ham?
