No sooner had David Moyes been appointed West Ham manager than the speculation started about who he will look to bring in to improve the Hammers’ squad in the January transfer window.
Many on Twitter have suggested the likes of Adnan Januzaj, Joleon Lescott and other former players of Moyes as potential signings; many of which would likely anger supporters due to the poor level of talent.
The name that has come up most regularly though is Marouane Fellaini. Moyes signed the Belgian international for both Everton and Manchester United, and while the 29 year old is still very much part of manager Jose Mourinho’s plan at Old Trafford, the midfielder’s long association with Moyes over the years has prompted suggestions of a possible switch to the London Stadium.
Even if the move is an unlikely possibility, especially because Mourinho hailed the player as “amazing” after coming on as as a sub against Chelsea at the weekend, it hasn’t stopped West Ham fans on Twitter debating the merits of the player.
If Moyes lasts until the summer… and the thought of fellaini even passes his brain I will be angry.
