West Ham are ready to jump at the chance to sign want away Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, reports the Daily Mail.

The Gunners midfielder is to consider his future at the Emirates this January, however could leave North London due to a lack of first team opportunities.

Wilshere has worked his way back into Arsene Wenger’s plans over the past few weeks, however still remains very much a fringe player, and would be looking for more regular first time action in order to bolster his chances of an England recall ahead of the World Cup next summer in Russia.

West Ham, who are keen to bolster their options in midfield after the New Year, would be able to offer the Englishman just that.

The Hammers were heavily linked with a move for the 25-year-old during the summer after his hit-and-miss loan spell at Bournemouth last year, however Wilshere opted to remain at the Emirates to fight for his place in Wenger’s squad.

New manager David Moyes is likely to face competition for Wilshere’s signature from a number of Premier League clubs including Crystal Palace.
