West Ham United face a crucial game in the Premier League tomorrow as they tackle Liverpool, aware of the threat that they could drop into the relegation zone over the course of the weekend if results go against them.

The Hammers come into the game after dropping a two-goal lead against Crystal Palace last weekend, drawing 2-2, and the pressure on Slaven Bilic continues to suggest that the Croatian boss won’t be in his job for too much longer.

All of this adds further talking points to a huge clash against Liverpool, with the Hammers not fancied to get a positive result, and former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has made a prediction West Ham fans won’t want to see.

Writing for BetVictorthe former Real Madrid striker said:

“This promises to be a terrific game under the London Stadium lights and I think Liverpool can follow up their 4-0 win from the corresponding game last season although the scoreline on that occasion flattered the Reds,”

“Great to see Daniel Sturridge back among the goals against Huddersfield last weekend and the England International has a good record against West Ham scoring five times in seven PL games against the Hammers. I expect to see goals with my old club getting the lion’s share.”

Whilst he expects West Ham will find the net due to Liverpool’s leaky defence, Owen’s prediction suggests it will be another disappointing weekend for Hammers fans.
