Everton are now the favourites to land out-of-favour Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge this January, according to bookmakers.

Sturridge has been widely touted to be joining West Ham after the New Year as manager David Moyes looks to bolster his attacking options in order to save the Hammers from relegation.

However, the England international could now be set to make the controversial switch across Merseyside and join Everton, who too are struggling for goals and find themselves stuck in a potential relegation dog fight.

Bookies Ladbrokes put the former Man City and Chelsea striker is as short as 6/4 to join The Toffees. West Ham remain priced at a close second favourites at odds of 7/4.

Sturridge has started just 4 games in all competitions for the Reds this season, with Jurgen Klopp preferring to use either Roberto Firmino or Dominic Solanke as his first choice strikers.

Despite his lack of game time however, Klopp insists he has no intention to sell Sturridge, saying: “at this moment we need all our players.” when asked if the 28-year-old could be on his way out of Anfield after the summer.
